Introduction

Many organizations lack a clear view of their project portfolio. That creates resource conflicts, duplicated effort and weak strategic alignment. This five-day course teaches executives how to structure, prioritize and govern a portfolio of projects. The focus is on practical tools and decision-ready outputs you can use immediately.

Objectives

1. Define portfolio boundaries, project categories and a simple governance structure.
2. Apply a scoring model to prioritize initiatives using strategic value, cost and risk.
3. Allocate resources across projects and produce a capacity-constrained portfolio plan.
4. Create a 12–36 month portfolio roadmap and scenario options for trade-off decisions.
5. Develop a concise dashboard and reporting routine to track portfolio performance and risks.
